Do you have a morning routine? ⠀
I certainly do. ⠀

I am big fan of SLOW mornings. ⠀

What does that mean? It means that I get up early, BEFORE my kids wake up. So I have time for myself and my OWN morning routine. ⠀

Mornings before the kids wake up are peaceful and quiet.⠀

When I first get up, I immediately drink hot water with a fresh-squeezed lemon to flush out the toxins from the night. I add a couple drops of dōTERRA lemon essential oil to it to enhance my body’s natural detoxification process.⠀

I am enjoying fresh lemons all year ’round, thanks to living in California!?⠀

Then, I wash my face and apply a facial mask. Pure pamper moment. Yes, it sounds as amazing as it feels.

Next up, I am sipping my green detox smoothie for another dose of detoxification. Again, I add a few drops of lemon essential oil. Yumm, sooo good

While I sloooowly sip-chew my smoothie, I read the newspaper. I learn about what is going on in the world and I absolutely love this morning reading time. ⠀

And I let the green smoothie and the face mask do their magic for a wonderful inside and outside detox glow.✨

Lastly, I am doing a few stretching exercises. And then, the day can get started!⠀

If I would NOT have not this morning routine, my day would not start off right. I just would not sit down in the middle of the day to read or apply a face mask. ✨⠀

Most importantly: I do not know how I drink my green detox smoothie and that would seriously derail my tummy into a bloated mess…⠀

When my morning does NOT start off right, I feel rushed and frazzled. And I get antsy, because I do not take any time for myself. ⠀

Especially for moms, this ME-TIME is so important⠀

Do not cut down on YOUR me-time. You deserve it! Even if it means getting up an hour before your kids get up. If that is the time when you can do something for yourself, go for it!
