What matters to you? What are YOUR top THREE priorities that you need to do and that make YOU happy? Every day is a new beginning. I frequently get this question “How do you get things done?” Let’s chat about three areas:
- MORNING routine: You could get up at 3 AM. CRAZY! Or rather sleep until 8 AM. While the first would make me so tired, the latter would cut into my personal morning routine of reading newspaper for an hour.
Find YOUR wake-up time that works. Try to get up half an hour earlier, if you struggle for time in the morning, it might make a HUGE difference.
- MEAL routine: We eat at home pretty much every day. While it is OUR preference to prepare the meals just the way we like, it also involves our kids in the food preparation routine. We catch up while we eat dinner, and hear how everybody’s day went.
MAKE meal times fun, enjoy quick & simple meals, by involving everybody and savoring the social time at the dinner table.
- WORKOUTS: I HAVE to work out every day. YES. It is my priority to sustain my body, mind, and soul. While this may not be a priority for you, I am sacrificing other things YOU might love do: TV/Movie watching, browsing social media, going out…
Even a 10 minute workout is better than none. Or work out while watching a movie/TV show. Schedule what is important for you.
After all, a day has only 24 hours. So find what matters to you, and make it happen.
